Concrete Film Co. to close its doors after just over two years

The Concrete Film Company is closing after just two and half years in business.

The company was set up by James Bradley, in conjunction with the film and TV production company Tiger Aspect Productions.

TAP, which holds a major- ity stake in the company, claimed in a statement that the decision was down to 'differing views over the future structure of the company'.

Its managing director Bradley said that the company had not gone out of business and that everyone was being paid. 'It's a parting of the ways due to differing views over company structure. There is no acrimony.'

Bradley, formerly the founding partner and managing director of Redwing, where he developed new talent including Chris Palmer, Mark Denton, Malcolm Venville and Mehdi Norowzian, will go on to pursue other projects.

Concrete's recent work includes the Pot Noodle ad 'big Dave' for HHCL & Partners, directed by John Birkin, and 'bin', the Anti-Smoking Tips campaign for Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, directed by Barney Cokeliss.

Birkin is working on a TV series and Cokeliss is about to sign up to another production company.

Anthea Benton, formerly one half of the acclaimed directing duo Vaughan and Anthea, recently left Concrete to join Partizan.

She picked up an award for her Barclaycard 'starfish' ad for BMP DDB at this year's British Television Advertising Awards.
