The event aims to cement London’s reputation as a hub for fashion and technology, by bringing together industry leaders including retailers, creatives and technologists.

There are currently 60 speakers signed up for event, including representatives from Google, John Lewis, Microsoft, GQ and Mastercard.

During the two-day conference, Philip Handford, the founder of Campaign Designs, will deliver a presentation on improving experiences inside retail spaces. Meanwhile, Robin Derrick, the global creative director at Spring Studios, will host a talk on how fashion communications have transformed in the digital age.

Also on the agenda is a panel discussion on the technologies likely to make a breakthrough in 2016, with Wired’s associate editor Oli Franklin, GQ.co.uk’s fashion editor Nick Carvell and Jonathan Chippindale, CEO of Holition.

There will also be networking opportunities, workshops and a showcase for fledgling fashion-technology startups. Both days will finish with a drinks reception.

FashTech, launched in 2014, holds its bi-annual conference alongside a series of smaller events across the globe, including meetup groups and its founders forum.

Alex Semenzato, founder and CEO of FashTech, said: "I’m thrilled to announce the official launch of the London FashTech Summit. As a firm believer in London’s role at the heart of the growing FashTech industry, I’m confident that our array of world class speakers, global brands, investors and start-ups will create a destination for dialogue and accelerate innovation at the intersection between Fashion and Technology.

"Together, we will challenge the status quo and unveil a comprehensive view of the FashTech landscape through dynamic, interactive events that showcase today’s and tomorrow’s brightest ideas."

Condé Nast's flagship title, Vogue, revealed plans for its Vogue Festival in February as part of its 100th birthday celebrations this year.
