The price-comparison website has held talks with a number of agencies about its advertising business and is preparing to kick off a formal pitch next month.

Mike Hoban, the chief marketing officer, is overseeing the process. Hoban was appointed to the newly created role in May after joining from DirectGov. had worked with BMB for just nine months before they split last month.
