Contactless payment photobooth targets events with Deborah Meaden

Josh and Hyrum Cook of Zeven Media, provider of digital photobooths, have received financial backing from Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden for a new product launching into the events industry.

The photobooth, which has already been used for events on behalf of Harvey Nichols, Revolution, Reiss, L’Oreal, The Guardian, Virgin Media and Movember, can be hired out for events as well as be supplied long-term to clients. Installation of the product is free, and profits from the photobooth will be shared between Zeven and the client.

The launch comes as Zeven Media secured £50,000 worth of funding from Meaden on last night’s (25 January) episode of Dragons' Den, which will be used to expand the business and launch the contactless payment booths.

Hyrum said: "The booths are not just for entertainment at events or launches, although they do add hugely to the experience. They go on working for clients long afterwards, as they create marketing materials and boost consumer engagement.

"Our booths have helped brands increase their social media reach by massive amounts as people share their images and can hashtag them for added ownership and reach."

Josh added: "Nobody else is doing contactless payment photobooths in the UK yet. We have the designs ready and know there will be a huge appetite for them.

"The event side of the business is now established and we’ve built up an amazing client base from a standing start. Long-term loan contactless booths are the next step. They’ll harness people’s appetite for capturing the moment and sharing it on social media immediately."
