Corona, one of Mexico's most recognisable brands, shows how its history is entwined with the country's in this epic stop-motion animation narrated by actor Gael García Bernal.
The Spanish-language campaign for the Mexican market traces the beer brand’s journey, starting from its founding by a group of bakers soon after the Mexican Revolution. The four chapters also cover the golden age of Mexican cinema, when the Corona Caravan travelled the country; the economic crisis during the 1980s, when Corona started an ambitious export plan to span the globe; and Mexicans in the present day who have broken barriers. The film is inspired by the imaginary universe of Mexican surrealist artist Pedro Friedeberg. It was directed by Nicolas Ménard through Nexus Studios.
