Craik Jones names Caroline Parkes planning director

LONDON - Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel has promoted Caroline Parkes to the role of planning director and appointed her to the agency's board of directors.

Parkes, one of six new board appointments, replaces Alison Payne, who is moving to the position of consultant at the agency.

Parkes moves into her new role after nine years at Craik Jones, most recently as its deputy planning director, working on the agency's Orange, Boots, Gordon's gin and First Direct accounts.

Laurence Slater, Craik Jones' head of production, and four of the agency's group account directors - Helen Richards, Liz Ogle, Kirsty MacCulloch and Graham Rhodes - are also joining the board of directors.

Their promotions are intended to strengthen the agency's focus on new business, business development and training.

The move coincides with the departure of Craik Jones' new-business director, Claire Syrett, who is leaving the agency after eight years.

Fiona Scott, the Craik Jones managing director, said: "The board appointments are recognition of the contribution all five individuals have made to the agency.

"As we grow, we need to respond to the opportunities and challenges ahead, and they will help shape the business as we move forward."
