The Cultural Heirs "If walls could talk" by Heimat Berlin

The Cultural Heirs created a typeset marking 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Using a typeface taken from actual graffiti on the the wall, the non-profit association – which focuses on the prevention of violence and discrimination –  created a narrative from the perspective of the Berlin Wall. The story addresses the violence surrounding it, as well as the freedom caused by its destruction, ending with the plea: "If I could ask you for one thing: do not rebuild me. Nowhere, not even in your mind".

A film, prints, a book, Instagram feeds and a website also allow people to generate their own messages, which will be compiled and sent to world leaders.
