Currys PC World "Goodbye" by AMV BBDO

Currys PC World dramatises the moment of goodbye in its back-to-school campaign encouraging students and parents to upgrade their laptops.

In "Clive," a son appears to be struggling to say goodbye to his father as the two pack the car for university. But not until the close-up of his heartfelt farewell do viewers realise it’s his old laptop he’s been speaking to all along. A similar reveal happens in "Rosie," which shows a mother having an emotional moment with her daughter. The work was created by Oliver Frost at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and directed by Jono Hunter through MindsEye.
