Daily Diary - What Barclays rate-fixing scandal?

Either this is a spoof, Barclays has a very twisted sense of humour or the copywriter behind this outdoor ad has not opened a newspaper, watched the news or been on planet Earth for the past few weeks.

Barclays: Funny sense of humour
Barclays: Funny sense of humour

If this isn't a spoof, the poor creative clearly hasn't been made aware of Barclays' recent Libor-fixing scandal.

However, the rather unfortunate ad for the bank, seen at a London bus stop, has still managed to capture the public's perception of the brand in just five words.

Someone needs to give this genius creative a medal. At least they will have something to be proud of when they're sitting on their sofa watching Jeremy Kyle next week.
