Daley quits Saatchis for global role at Manchester United

LONDON - In a shock move, Lee Daley, chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi, is leaving the advertising industry to take up a global position as the commercial director of Manchester United football club, as exclusively revealed by Campaign.

In his new role, he will work with David Gill, the club's chief executive, as well as taking a place on the board.

Daley joined Saatchis as the chief executive in October 2004. He was previously the global chief executive of Red Cell.
