Dare digital, the digital creative and production company founded by the ex-Bartle Bogle Hegarty joint managing director Mark Collier, is launching a TV production operation.
The company will be headed by Geoff Stickler, the former head of television at Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper. The production company will start with a roster of directors who are new to the UK commercials market.
The roster is a combination of UK and European directors and will include the directing collective General Lighting and Power, the ex-BBC director Hans Odd and the Belgian directors Lionel Goldstein and Koen Mortier. Additions to the roster of directors are due to be announced next month.
Stickler commented: 'In developing our roster of new talent from scratch, our focus will be on quality and on flexibility, using the latest digital technology.'
Stickler was poached from Euro RSCG in August last year to fill the position of head of TV production at dare digital. He worked with Collier at BBH in the early 90s. Euro RSCG took him on in 1995.
Collier, the managing director of dare digital, added: 'As the web and television increasingly converge, we want to build a production resource and talent base that is genuinely able to operate across the range of digital platforms.'
Dare has developed an alliance with the Sony Image Creation Group, which, the production company claims, will give it access to the latest digital video technology.
