Dave "Be the mate you'd want" by UKTV Creative

Dave has teamed up with CALM to celebrate International Friendship Day.

In a bid to encourage men to open up to their mates about mental health, Dave and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) have unveiled the first comedy festival in an ad break. Featuring a team of 17 comedians – including Lou Sanders, Natasia Demetriou, Alex Horne and Phil Wang – the four-minute spot aims to support male friendship in a bid to tackle male depression and suicide (the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK).

With a cavalcade of quirky anecdotes, the campaign promotes small gestures such as sending a quick text message in order to open up a conversation about health and wellbeing between friends. The work was directed by Tom Corbett through UKTV, and is set to air today (30 July) at 9:12pm during Taskmaster.
