Dave Woods named RMG creative chief

RMG Connect has appointed Dave Woods, Claydon Heeley's executive creative director, and Bobby Hui, the Saatchi & Saatchi international planning director, to the roles of executive creative director and executive planning director respectively.

Woods and Hui are the first senior signings at RMG since Tim Hipperson was appointed as the chief executive at the end of 2006.

The agency had been looking to boost its senior team since Guy Bradbury, its creative director, departed to join DDB WWAV Rapp Collins in May, and Magnus Wood, the strategy and planning director, was poached by Wunderman three months later.

Woods became a joint creative director at Claydon Heeley in 2001, along with his creative partner, Pete Harle, who stays at Claydon Heeley as the executive creative director.

In his new position, Hui will be responsible for planning across RMG's client base.
