The former ITV marketing director took over responsibility for Guardian News & Media’s commercial operations in the UK, US and Australia in December 2013. He has since become a prominent and influential thought-leader in the evolution of native advertising. With responsibility for the brand’s global sales team, Pemsel is at the sharp end of emerging digital subscription and advertising revenue. An early adopter of the often-copied ‘ad specs’ look, Pemsel is never knowingly under-networked. He has successfully made the transition from marketer to a broader executive remit, and his career is well and truly on an upward trajectory.
