DDB and Stream tie up for joint venture

DDB London has linked up with the branded content agency Stream and is launching a joint venture to move into branded entertainment.

The new offering, DDB Stream, will work with DDB's existing clients as well as attempt to attract clients from other agencies. It launches with projects for Philips and ING.

Danielle Nay, a former Ten Alps Communications director, will lead the venture. She will report to Jorian Murray, DDB's managing director, who is heading the venture.

Stream was launched in 2001 by Mike Falconer and Georgie Summerhayes.

It already works with TBWA\ London in the UK.

The deal continues DDB's strategy of expanding its offering beyond traditional channels. Last year, it formed joint ventures with WWAV Rapp Collins and Good Stuff, the Manning Gottlieb OMD affiliate strategy agency.
