Ammirati Puris Lintas has appointed Deborah Mills, the former

Delaney Fletcher Bozell planning director, as a senior planner.

Mills, 36, currently a freelance account planning consultant, will work

on the Flora account as well as the recently acquired Burger King

business.

She will report to Nicky Buss, the head of planning at APL.

Buss said: ’Deborah is not only an unusually senior and experienced

planner, she is also open to questioning the way planning works.’

Mills has been working freelance across a range of clients with agencies

such as BMP DDB, Delaney Fletcher Bozell, HHCL & Partners and Lowe

Howard-Spink.

Mills began her career at Ogilvy & Mather as an account manager. In

1982, she joined Leagas Delaney as an account director working on ICI

and Harvey Nichols. In 1984, she moved into account planning at BMP,

where she worked on the Quaker, Fison, Nabisco and Channel 4

accounts.

She was appointed deputy planning director of Leo Burnett in 1988. A

year later, she joined Delaney Fletcher as planning director.
