Delaney Fletcher Bozell has beaten Bates Dorland to the pounds 2

million account for the Harmony haircare brand, which is now owned by

EMVI.

EMVI, which bought Harmony from Unilever for pounds 25 million last

October, is planning to roll the brand out across the world and will use

the Bozell network to support the expansion.

Mike Jatania, EMVI’s chief executive, said: ’Delaney Fletcher can offer

the international support we will need. There is already a famous

campaign for Harmony in existence and it will be very interesting to see

how they can contemporise it.’

It has not yet been decided if the advertising will use the ’Is she, or

isn’t she?’ slogan, created by J. Walter Thompson in the 70s. Jatania

said: ’It’s still up in the air but it’s a very strong proposition.’

Greg Delaney, the creative director at Delaney Fletcher, said: ’Harmony

is still a very salient brand for a lot of people. Our task is to make

it more contemporary, younger and dynamic.’
