Kerslake was previously the chief executive of the sales promotion and direct marketing network. He was made regional director for Hewlett-Packard in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2005 to establish an integrated service for HP across Europe.
At Publicis Dialog, he will fill the newly created role of chairman. Kerslake will work with the chief executive, Simon Marshall, to shore up the agency's senior management team as it sets up its integrated offering with Publicis.
He will also work with Colin Hearn, the global chief executive, on the below-the-line network's European operations. Kerslake was initially moved to HP to strengthen the network's global account.
He was responsible for setting up an integrated ad and marketing communications offering for the network.
This resulted from the online account it had picked up from WPP's Banner and some of the direct marketing from Tequila\London without a pitch.
