Balko was informed of the agency’s decision two weeks ago and is currently in a formal consultation period. A result is expected in October.

This decision follows the abrupt departure of Logan Wilmont, the agency’s former executive creative director, earlier this month. Nigel Jones, the agency's former chief executive, left the agency to join Publicis in May.

Balko joined Draftfcb in July 2007 from the WPP-owned design agency Fitch London, where he was a business development director in the London studio.

Before joining Fitch London in July 2006, Balko was the new-business director at Publicis. Balko has held similar new-business positions at Lowe Lintas and TBWA\London
