Designer Paul Smith launches debut e-commerce site

LONDON - Fashion brand Paul Smith has launched its first online shopping service, as part of an overhaul of the designer's website.

The revamped site went live this week and also includes information about collections as well as news about the firm.

The newly created e-commerce function is currently only available to European customers, but there are plans to extend the service to the US next February.

The overhaul for the site has been handled by e-commerce specialist The Other Media and design agency Aboud Sodano. According to a statement from Paul Smith: "The site overall has been stripped down from how it was previously represented and is more interactive with the viewer."

The original website launched in 1996.
