DHM awarded £3m Gaymer's business

Dye Holloway Murray has scooped the £3 million account for the Gaymer Cider Company.

The agency was awarded the business without a pitch. It moves from the incumbent, Nitro, which won the account just 12 months ago after a four-way pitch.

DHM will work on creating a new advertising strategy for the cider company, whose brands include Olde English, Gaymer's Orchard Reserve and Addlestones. Creative work is due to break later this year and is expected to run across TV, print and digital.

Last year, Gaymer's Original Cider invested £4 million into an advertising campaign developed by Nitro. It positioned the cider as a drink with unisex appeal. The ads used images of men and women on social nights out. The endline was: "Gaymer's. As good as it gets."

Gaymer's is owned by Constellation Europe, whose wine brands include Hardys, Stowells and Kumala.
