DIARY: Ad for Burdett record label does fine job for brother's band status

Readers who have been watching television recently may well have spotted the new commercial for Bowman's Capsule, the record label founded by the former CIA vice-chairman, Richard Burdett.

Burdett retreated from the agency world last year to set up the label, and is surely hoping the campaign will get the masses streaming into music stores all over the country to buy the label's debut release by the band Little Death Orchestra.

Doubtless the artistes in the band are keeping a keen eye on proceedings too. However, it seems the "group is rather appropriately named - as we hear Little Death Orchestra actually comprises one main man amid a variety of synthesizers.

And who should this dexterous musician be? Why, none other than Burdett's brother, Michael. Who said nepotism is dead?
