Diary: Ad industry's very own superhero unmasked

A lot of blokes brag that "danger" is their middle name, but for one graduate developer at McCann Erickson, that is actually the case.

Because, two years ago, when Lewis Taylor decided that his birth name simply wasn't glamorous enough, he changed it by deed poll to "Mr Captain Danger Awesome". So now, despite going by the name of Lewis to most of his workmates, Taylor's passport, driving licence and even wage slip is branded with his new superhero name.

Diary can only applaud Mr Awesome's guts in going through with the eccentric idea, and backs his campaign to persuade McCann's HR department to change his e-mail address from lewis.taylor to what he feels it really should be: captain.awesome.
