Diary: Adland ringers take part in a game of client swap

You may remember McCann Erickson's Chris Macdonald and Adam & Eve's James Murphy were lucky enough to make an appearance in the Top Ten Lookalikes list in last year's Campaign Annual.

Now, while there's a passing resemblance - well, er, they both wear specs - it was more of a joke entry and an excuse to have a laugh at their expense.

However, a real-life mix-up between the two this week proves that it's not just Campaign that thinks they look alike.

It just so happened that both Murphy and Macdonald had client dinners booked at the same time at The Ivy last week, with the Adam & Eve founder scheduled to meet someone relatively new to him.

When the maitre d' ushered Murphy to a table, the guests busied themselves with small talk. However, it only became clear after ten minutes together that the group didn't actually know each other and that the clients were not in fact Murphy's, but Macdonald's.
