DIARY: Adland's high-rollers fail to live it up shock

There's never a dull moment in the rich tapestry that is London's

ad land. Forget Bridget Jones mania (see below), Ogilvy & Mather decided

to throw a pre-Easter party in aid of having dug deep to revamp its

tired old offices situated rather more than a canape's throw away from

its fellow advertising brethren.

Soho's jet-set was forced to give Home House a miss for the evening and

instead made the foray into the uncharted territory of Zone 2 by

draughty leisure boat, where Ogilvy's offices had finally been

transformed.

Nevertheless, the seasoned liggers, Fallon's founders Robert Senior and

Michael Wall, were spotted chewing the fat with Graham Deakin, who we

hear was putting away the booze admirably.

And ISBA bods were seen rubbing shoulders with the free-wheeling

production crew, who were hoovering up the bellinis, in preparation for

Cannes.

However, the evening's well-wishers had to go without entertainment as

all those involved remained disappointingly restrained.
