Two years ago, the race looked well and truly sunk. Numbers had dwindled as adland's old salts found the annual September dash across the Solent was getting just too much of a hassle to organise.
Now Ondeck, the charter events specialist, is taking matters in hand with a brief to broaden the race's appeal beyond the advertising agency community.
