Now that Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's new novel is out, you'd think the public's appetite for books penned by cute-looking creatures with brains the size of a peanut would be assuaged for a while.

Apparently not.

The world's most famous meerkat, Aleksandr Orlov, has written his much-anticipated autobiography, A Simples Life. Well, if Peter Andre can do it, why not a small furry animal? The book is so sought-after that it has broken into Amazon's top ten "Hot Future Releases", at number six, beating Chris Evans' memoirs at number seven. The news must be slightly galling for the ginger-haired millionaire.
