DIARY: Camelot pitch victory just the ticket for AMV

You needed to be locked in a soundproof room not to have heard the whoops of joy resounding from Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO after the agency's success on the Camelot pitch last week.

To say staff were ever so slightly pleased with themselves would be something of an understatement.

After the celebrations - which included much backslapping and quaffing of Champagne - had finally subsided, the agency decided to get itself in the mood for working for its new employer. And what better way than by purchasing a ticket for the National Lottery for each of the 300-odd staff?

But panic set in when the question was raised as to whether, as suppliers to Camelot, anyone at AMV was eligible to take part in the draw. Thankfully, the matter was resolved, but it now remains to be seen if AMV can hit the jackpot twice in one week.
