Diary: Colley times Estonian stag do party perfectly

The stag do - once, it was all about being left stark naked, tied to a lamppost in Milton Keynes. But the days of no-frills air travel and cheap hotels have changed all that. Just ask Don Colley, one of Rapier's creative directors, whose liver is unlikely to be the same after a stag weekend in Estonia. With some 30 mates from Rapier, Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy and TBWA\London, the soon-to-be-hitched Colley pushed the boat out and picked Tallinn.

The results were surreal. Colley donned a Captain Chaos outfit and a T-shirt that read: "I'm British and can't speak Estonian. Just keep smiling at me and laughing." With impeccable timing, they found themselves in Tallinn's main square the moment the nation joined the European Union.

All very jolly but, as Estonia's biggest national paper commented, it was hard to hear the celebratory bells over the drunks singing the theme from Minder.
