Last week, while talking to his young daughter on the phone, she began enthusing about a speaker who had come into her school to talk about advertising.

It transpires that the speaker was none other than Charles Vallance, the V in VCCP, who had been explaining the thinking behind, yes, you guessed it, his own Comparethemeerket campaign.
