Diary: Dog mauls black sheep in ad agency Ryder Cup

Remember the high drama and sensational golf that marked the final day of the 2002 Ryder Cup? Well, this was nothing like that.

A team from Bartle Bogle Hegarty, captained by its deputy chairman, Jon Peppiatt, took on the creative clout of Mother, led by Nik Upton, in the second of the annual matches between the agencies at Temple Golf Club in Berkshire last week.

The day, which began with Peppiatt "topping" his ten-yard tee shot straight into the rough, went from bad to worse for BBH, with Mother ending up 8-4 winners. And the prize? A "priceless" oil painting of Mother's canine mascot facing off against the BBH black sheep.
