DIARY: A door delays Orr, but builders bail him out

A dedicated marketing director will never allow anything to stop that crucial new-business meeting from happening - take Leagas Delaney's Will Orr, for example. Up bright and early before such an ordeal, Orr whistled his way through his toilette only to find the bathroom door handle jammed.

Stuck in his steam-filled smallest room, Orr's brain swung into action with lightning speed and, pausing only to wrap a pastel towel round himself, he flung open the window and hailed some builders.

Thinking all their Christmasses had come at once, the burly brickies leant their ladder against the bedroom window, wriggled in, fiddled with the lock and released the panicking Orr. With no time for tea and pleasantries, Orr was suited and booted in a flash and left his flat by a more conventional method, making his meeting with clear seconds to spare.
