Diary: Drama back in heart of Soho (for one day)

What could have caused the kerfuffle outside Clemmow Hornby Inge's new offices, next door to Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy on Rathbone Street, last week? According to Diary sources, police cordoned off the road around the two offices due to a security alert. What could have caused all the havoc? Was the rivalry between CHI and its new neighbours becoming too much to bear? Had the initially jokey throwing of bread buns from one agency's balcony on to the other's during coffee time erupted into an out-and-out war over who will win Waitrose?

Or was it the sight of the moped belonging to a certain Mark Wnek, who is never a million miles away from controversy, parked outside that raised the alarm.

Later reports trickled in that the cause of the furore was, in fact, a drugs raid on a van. For a moment it was almost as if adland were to be plunged into scandal once again.
