DIARY: Getting into character for this new calendar must be a Dutch thing

It's amazing what agency staffers will do to get their kicks these days. While some ad folk wheel out the kind of tired self-promotional material that makes Ray Snoddy bellow in despair, one agency has hit on a rather novel calendar idea.

Yes, it might be four months later than normal calendars, but what the hell, why not celebrate April Fool's Day in style. So thinks StrawberryFrog, one of Ams-terdam's creative boutiques, and clearly a haven for Holland's whip-crackers and rubber fetishists. The agency has produced a calendar featuring pouting, er, knife-wielding vixens and young studs - who all work at the agency.

We shouldn't be surprised - after all, this is the agency which had previously required all visitors to photograph their nipples for proud exhibition in its reception area.

While some bemused competitors are still trying to work out exactly what it is the agency does all day, these young Turks have proved that they get up to plenty, and by the looks of it, are having far more fun than their London counterparts.

We're expecting to hear of a sudden flood of applications to join StrawberryFrog - but be warned, it's not a place for the faint-hearted.
