Diary: Inappropriate casting strikes RBoS ads. Again

Poor old Royal Bank of Scotland. It can't seem to get it right.

First, Vic Reeves, the voice of its Churchill brand, which offers car insurance, gets done for drink-driving.

Now, one of the faces of its One Account ads has been accused of credit-card fraud. For those of you unfamiliar with her work, Jennifer Spence is a former lap-dancer and porn star who appeared in one of Clemmow Hornby Inge's first One Account ads. But when she was not expounding the benefits of a fixed-rate mortgage, she could be found plying her trade on websites such as Scottish Nymphos.

Now the multi-talented model has added another interesting chapter to her memoirs, by getting herself arrested on suspicion of credit card fraud.

On this type of form, you can't help but wonder who else RBoS might be lining up. A resurrected Robert Maxwell as the new face of NatWest's campaign?
