Diary: ITV team scares regulars and wins Nabs' Pop Quiz

If Rainey Kelly's Tony Harris is sporting his leopard-print jacket in front of a room full of adland's finest, it can mean only one thing: the Nabs Pop Quiz.

This year's event, which was sponsored by Channel 4's Popworld, eventually raised £18,000 for the charity and featured teams from all around the industry - including Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, Clemmow Hornby Inge, DraftFCB and Walker Media.

The winning team on the night was a collection of seven pop-music aficionados from ITV, who managed to astound almost the entire congregation with their scarily encyclopaedic knowledge.

James Murphy, the ever-competitive chief executive of RKCR/Y&R and self-styled musical mastermind, thought he was assured of a win after assembling an "agency dream team", but was left frustratingly disappointed after a very average performance.

The night ended with a set from an up-and-coming band called Bashphelt, who won a Popworld competition in April to play at any events the company sponsored.
