Diary: A lady is not lucky for bruised Ben Langdon

If anyone's wondering if Ben Langdon's bruised face is a result of his former partner Mark Wnek finally catching up with him, Campaign can exclusively reveal exactly what caused it.

At dinner at the Lebanese restaurant Levant in the West End, the evening's belly-dancing entertainment seemed to take a bit of a fancy to Langdon.

At first, this Eastern-looking temptress was draping him in her shawl and gyrating her hips around him at the dinner table. As Langdon crossed the restaurant later in the evening to call a cab, she appeared to have turned on him, landing an unprovoked punch on his face.

So, what had advertising's favourite hard man done to provoke her? Actually, it was just an accident.
