Diary: Lee enjoys credit crunch hen party - adland style

It must be wedding season. No sooner has one adlander put down her L-plates than another one picks hers up. Following hot on the heels of CHI & Partners' Sarah Gold, who opted for a bash at Babington House, Dare's Lee Wright celebrated her hen last Saturday (ahead of her marriage to Grand Union's managing director, Jaimes Leggett), with a "credit crunch" bachelorette party - well, credit crunch for wealthy ad executives, perhaps.

Wright's entourage, which included the soon-to-be-wed Gold, kicked off proceedings at The Dorchester, where they enjoyed tea and cake, before heading off to the Charlotte Street Hotel for some alcohol-fuelled celebrations.

After downing cocktails, the group were treated, appropriately, to a screening of Bride Wars in the hotel's private screening room.

By all accounts, there hasn't yet been any malicious wedding sabotage tactics between the brides-to-be; Wright's hair still appears blonde, instead of blue, and Gold's tan is a subtle shade of, er, gold, rather than orange (don't ask, you'll have to see the film).

In fact, Wright even managed to stay relatively sober all night (following in the footsteps of her fiance, who, much to the chagrin of those on his stag do, also seemed impossible to inebriate). But then what else should we expect from someone rumoured to be in line for the IPA presidency?
