Diary: Love is in the air at Nabs

Attendees of last week's Vegas-themed Nabs Big Bash found themselves bearing witness to a rather unlikely union.

The event, hosted at Battersea Park Evolution and furnished with its own Buick, ornate gold statues, roulette tables and even a chapel, was compered by Justin Lee Collins.

Desperate to raise some extra funds for the ad industry's charity, Collins offered his hand in marriage to bidders, with the highest offer coming from the Thinkbox chief executive, Tess Alps, who forked out £700 to wed the long-haired presenter and comedian (contributing to the evening's record-breaking total pot of £1.475 million).

Also keen to find a partner was Group M's Nick Theakstone, who nimbly took to the stage to join the evening's entertainment, Alesha Dixon.
