Diary: Make a marathon effort

Richard Exon and Stephen Woodford were among the runners at last weekend's London Marathon.

Exon, who has slimmed down dramatically from his Russell Grant lookalike days, is raising money in memory of Carl Toppin, who worked at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. Meanwhile, Woodford was on his sixth marathon in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This disease mainly affects children and is also known as Type 1 diabetes. It afflicts Woodford's son, Will, who has to inject insulin up to six times a day. They will both be grateful for support. Unfortunately, Johnny Hornby was unable to run for the Evelina Heart Unit at Guy's Hospital due to injury.
