Diary: Michaelides not your man in Greek line-up

What a laugh the current Fed-Ex radio ad is. All those references to Greek names you can't get your tongue round, such as Nana Mousakka. You must remember her. Long hair. Enormous specs.

However, some of you may have noticed what seems like a bit of insider humour, as one of the notable Greek institutions meriting a mention is none other than George Michaelides.

Has somebody at Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest got a bet on about how many times they can get the name of the Michaelides & Bednash managing partner into an ad? "If they have, they're fired," Adrian Coleman, the VCCP partner, says unconvincingly.

Sadly, it is a actually a play on George Michael, whose £80 million fortune doesn't owe much to being good at media strategy.
