DIARY: Miller can't grasp the idea of holiday on ice

What could be more festive than a little sojourn on ice to break up

a day's hard work?

So thought many festive revellers over the Christmas period who flocked

in their droves to Somerset House's ice rink. However, among the throng

clad in scruffy jeans there was one distinguished gent who cut a dash in

his dapper threads.

Yes, while most of adland joined the delirious shopping hordes in a

last-minute pressie dash, Spectre's managing director, Bertie Miller,

was doing his best Christopher Dean impression as he pirouetted around

the rink, perfecting his figures of eight.

But what's this? Such dedication! Yes, while the characteristically

sartorial sportsman sashayed around, he also showed he was never far

from the desk by having his beloved mobile phone surgically attached to

his ear.

Er, there is such a thing as off duty, Bertie.
