DIARY: Partridge quits WWAV with a costly send-off

We at Campaign are punctilious about filling in our expense forms.

After all, dinners at The Ivy and the hire of a floating gin palace for the Cannes Festival soon dent the salary of a humble hack.

Others, it seems, are not so diligent. Take Suzanne Partridge, the erstwhile client services director at the Omnicom-owned WWAV Rapp Collins.

On her departure, Partridge is rumoured to have hit her employer with an expenses claim of up to £35,000, dating back to when she joined from Interfocus in May 1998. Adam Coleman, the WWAV chief executive in London, claims the figure isn't anything like that but admits that money is owed.

"Suzanne hasn't been as up to date as most people in doing her expenses, he adds, with masterly understatement. "But her claim is completely legitimate and will be settled."
