Diary: Pick of the Week - Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO/Department of Transport

Rachel Gardner is won over by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO's new campaign for the Department for Transport: "This certainly isn't a pleasant ad to watch. But its hard-hitting tone successfully conveys the consequences of exceeding a 30mph speed limit by just 10mph. The image of the schoolgirl lying at the roadside, gradually coming back to life, is both haunting and well-delivered. No-one should be foolish enough to speed after watching this." The ad was written and art directed by Andy McKay and Mary Wear.
