Readers may be interested to hear that HHCL & Partners is
introducing stress-busting initiatives.
As you might imagine from an agency whose mission statement is
"professional radicals", HHCL hasn't taken the typical routes of scalp
massages or lunchtime tai-chi. No, it has hit upon the rather novel idea
of, er, trance workshops to relieve tension.
These initiatives come from John Parkin, one of the creative directors,
trained in hypnotherapy and shamanism, no less. "Both therapies use a
light trance state to help people explore personal problems and then
solve them," the agency informs us, knowledgeably.
Hmm. An unkind observer might point out that exercising this "mild form
of trance" might be the reason that key clients Amazon, AA and Egg chose
to review out of the agency in the first place.
