UM London rose to the challenge in a contest to see who could hold up rugby's Aviva Premiership Cup for the longest. Mark Middlemas managed just 55 seconds (but claims this is longer than some of the London Irish team). In the men's category, the winners were Chris Davies and Simon Reip, who both managed one minute, 14 seconds, putting them on the top-14 leader board in London. Equally impressive was Kristin Bayliss, who managed 57 seconds, ranking her third among London women.
