Diary: On the QT ..

Oh dear, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO just can't seem to get it right.

Just a month after its Heinz Deli Mayonnaise ad was pulled for featuring a man-on-man kiss, the agency has once again caused annoyance, this time for its Snickers ad featuring Mr T deriding a speed walker. One minute AMV is in trouble for being pro-gay and the next it's labelled homophobic. Is it the most bi-curious agency in town? ...

Anyone who's getting in early and planning their Christmas party now should check out this month's Tatler, which has a list of the top 100 most-invited power partygoers. Diary wishes them many congratulations ...

The reopening of Soho's Quo Vadis is attracting the celeb and media A-list. Spotted there last Thursday was Sir Roger Moore being ushered to a discreet table. Ten minutes later, the Independent managing director, Simon Kelner, arrived for a tete-a-tete and some fevered eye-brow raising with the former 007. We're guessing Sir Roger will be the subject of Kelner's next GQ food interview.
