Diary: On the QT ..

Diary hears that Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer finally moved into its new East London offices last Friday, more than a few days late due to complications with the deal.

On arriving there were also minor teething problems, leaving the partner Greg Grimmer, who organised the property deal, with an interesting dilemma. The other founders are clamouring for Grimmer, usually a gritty negotiator, to claw back some sort of refund on the early days of the lease. The only problem, it was sourced through Grimmer's brother-in-law, creating the potential for some interesting family tensions ...

It's always a bad sign when an agency can't create a good spoof of its own work, something JWT could be accused of. Congrats to Judy Mitchem. Not only is the ex-Lowe chief marketing officer just back in the saddle as a founding partner of Arnold UK, but she has also just married her long-time partner Neil Dawson, one of the founders of Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer and the convenor of this year's IPA Effectiveness Awards. Weirdly, the Jimmy Choo-loving Mitchem decided to tie the knot in Chelsea rather than in her hometown of, erm ... Dartford.
