While we're on the subject of worthy causes, Diary is pleased to learn that a saddle-sore, but much delighted, Pat Joseph is back at work as The Mill's chief creative officer, having just cycled 1,037 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to secure more than half of a £30,000 fundraising initiative on behalf of the John Radcliffe Hospital Haematology Research Fund. Accompanied by Miles Pettit, one of The Mill's producers, and Barry Hughes, the Therapy Films managing director, Joseph took to his bike to mark the 25th anniversary of his successful treatment for leukaemia at the hospital. And he's already thinking of donning the lycra shorts for another fundraiser next year - a tour of Ireland ...
