A straw poll in the Campaign editorial office reveals an astonishing ten
people have experienced the three days of debauchery that is Glastonbury
festival. While most of us can remember at least one band from those we
saw, not one of us can recall which year we went.
Which, if you bear with us in this leap of logic, makes the chances of
selling a corporate sponsorship for ‘Glastonbury, the Movie’ even more
remote than they are to date for its producers.
‘Glastonbury, the Movie’ was shot over a number of years and is ‘a
subjective portrayal of what it’s like to be at the world’s largest
festival’. The first film to be completed with funds from the Lottery,
it goes on national release in the autumn. The producer, Robin Mahoney,
